Skirball Cultural Center & Museum Opening Celebration
The Skirball Cultural Center and Museum, one of the world's largest collections of art and artifacts relating to Judaism and American life, engaged CARS to produce the opening celebration for their $70 million facility on April 21, 1996. CARS produced a multicultural festival, with emphasis on the American Jewish experience, including a ribbon-cutting ceremony and dedication, workshops relating to the museum's exhibitions and all-day performances. Performances included a klezmer band, Brazilian samba dancers, a gospel choir, Middle Eastern music and Yiddish folk music.
