LA County's Camino City Terrace Presented by Metro
Community Arts Resources partnered with LA County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis, LA County Public Works, and Metro to produce the first-ever two-day open streets event in Los Angeles County: LA County's Camino City Terrace Presented by Metro. Through creative planning, large-scale event production, and cross-agency coordination, Community Arts Resources transformed a 1.6-mile stretch of roadway into a uniquely car-free public space.
Keeping with the design to reimagine public streets as places for gathering and celebration, the free event invited residents and visitors to experience City Terrace by foot, bike, scooter, wheelchair, and other forms of movement, creating an accessible environment that encouraged exploration and participation. Community Arts Resources led programming and on-the-ground activation, bringing together local businesses, artists, and vendors to reflect the neighborhood's culture and energy.
During the two-day celebration, attendees discovered local storefronts, enjoyed food from more than 25 vendors at the 323 Market, and experienced live performances by Quitapenas, Tropa Magica, and Cello Azul.
