CicloIrvine

Community Arts Resources worked with the City of Irvine to launch their very first open streets event - CicloIrvine. The event took place along nearly two miles of Barranca Parkway and Harvard Avenue. CicloIrvine highlighted the City's commitment to community engagement, sustainability, and environmentally conscious means of travel with City streets closed to cars and open for people to stroll, bike, and roll.

CARS began working with the City of Irvine in 2023 to develop a strategic plan for the development and production of the city's first Open Streets Event.

We met regularly with various departments within the city to determine the best route, and collaborate on fundraising and sponsorship, marketing and branding, community outreach, safety, logistics, programming, and production.
Our team met with stakeholders along the route to discuss needs and possible involvement, and outreached to every neighborhood group and association to promote community engagement and ensure that everyone was informed about the project.

We also established and maintained effecting working relationships with the City, other government agencies, vendors, contractors, VIPs, local non-profits, and key stakeholders.
