There Once Were Millions
In partnership with Santa Monica Mountains Fund and West Marin Monarch Sanctuary, the City of Santa Monica and Community Arts Resources proudly present an evening of art + ecology to celebrate the opening of There Once Were Millions, a monarch butterfly exhibition.
This show emphasizes reverence for nature and is a call to action to protect the iconic western monarch butterfly and its migration.
There Once Were Millions showcases Elizabeth Weber's images of monarchs and includes new work by Santa Monica Studios 3026 Artists. Participate in a drop-in art workshop, meet the artists, and explore their open studios. Enjoy light refreshments, watch a short film screening, and learn from a panel of conservation experts as they discuss The Return of the Western Monarch Butterfly.
Join artists, creators, and activists for an evening of community engagement! This event is free and open to the public.
